Abstract

Introduction: Neurorehabilitation integrates principles of neuroplasticity and neuromodulation to optimize functional recovery in patients with peripheral neuropathies. This approach aims to improve the individual's integration into their physical, mental, and social environment.

Objective: This study assesses how various neurorehabilitation techniques enhance functionality and quality of life in patients with peripheral neuropathies, focusing on customizing treatment according to each patient's specific needs.

Information acquisition: A systematic review of current scientific literature was conducted using recognized databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, focusing on research published between 2019 and 2024 to ensure data relevance.

Development: The analysis included different techniques such as therapeutic exercises, neural mobilizations, electrostimulation, and robotic-assisted rehabilitation. Results highlight significant improvements in motor function and quality of life, demonstrating the efficacy of a multidisciplinary treatment approach. The importance of advanced technologies in treating specific conditions such as diabetic neuropathy and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy is emphasized.

Conclusions: Neurorehabilitation techniques are crucial for neurological and functional recovery. Effective integration of conventional and advanced treatments is essential to maximize rehabilitation benefits, tailored to the particularities of each patient.
