Abstract

A research project on medical education in the field of learning resources was carried out at the Artemisa Faculty of Medical Sciences from May 2022 to October 2024. The objective was to design a digital glossary of terms related to the nervous system, which would contribute to the understanding of basic sciences for first-year medical students at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Artemisa. Theoretical and empirical methods were used: literature review, analysis and synthesis, historical-logical method, interviews, questionnaires, brainstorming, and statistical methods. The study population consisted of professors from the basic sciences department and first-year medical students. The sample consisted of five professors who teach the nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems course, specialists in basic sciences, and 35 students. The need to develop this resource as a teaching tool was identified as essential for the understanding, assimilation and acquisition of new knowledge in the study of basic sciences. It is recommended that its use be proposed and that it continue to be refined on the basis of practical experience.
