Abstract

Supernumerary teeth refer to dental units that exceed the normal number, a phenomenon called hyperdontia. Among the most common are the mesiodens, which are located between the central incisors. This study reports the presence of multiple supernumerary teeth that caused ectopic eruption and caused a crossbite in the oral cavity of a non-syndromic pediatric patient. The presence of several supernumerary teeth does not always indicate a specific syndrome, but it is important that dentists are familiar with the associated syndromes and perform a thorough evaluation to avoid complications.
