Abstract

Introduction: Physical Education plays a crucial role in community health. By fostering an integral balance between body, mind and spirit, it not only improves quality of life, but also promotes healthy lifestyles and prevents disease. This underscores the need to implement community intervention programs that maximize their impact through well-structured, health promotion-oriented projects.

Objective: To value the contribution of Physical Education, through multimodal projects of community intervention, to the promotion and prevention of health and to the quality of life of individuals.

Information acquisition: A comprehensive literature review was conducted to evaluate the contribution of Physical Education to public health. This study included a detailed analysis of community intervention projects combining face-to-face and virtual methods. Articles and papers published between 2014 and 2024, available in recognized databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Scopus, Lilacs, and Elsevier, were consulted.

Development: This paper examines the use of community intervention projects that incorporate mobile and blended learning styles (M-Learning and B-Learning) to enhance Physical Education. These projects are designed to promote health and prevent diseases in different age groups.

Conclusions: The bibliographic review that supported this work shows that community intervention projects that implement multireferentiality, multimedia and interactive presence enrich and diversify access to Physical Education in the communities, which in turn significantly improves the physical and mental health of the population.
