Abstract

Objective: This study focuses on analyzing the advances and challenges in the prevention and care of cervical cancer.

Methods: for modeling, Saaty's AHP and TOPSIS methods were used to obtain alternatives in favor of women's health.

Results: the result was that the population's lack of awareness still prevails, as well as the barriers to access to women's health in different regions and socioeconomic groups. Improving strategies for the prevention and care of cervical cancer were recognized, in addition to highlighting the need for continued efforts by the government of Ecuador to combat this disease, with the hope of reducing its incidence and guaranteeing better access to medical care for all women, regardless of their geographical location or socioeconomic situation.

Conclusions: prevention and care of cervical cancer are essential to reduce the burden of this disease.
