Abstract

Introduction: Task Life constitutes the Cuban State's Plan for confronting climate change. It is a comprehensive proposal with specific tasks and actions to reduce environmental vulnerability across the country. It aligns with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The "Manuel Fajardo" Faculty of Medical Sciences has the potential to achieve the tenth Sustainable Development Goal of Task Life through its Environmental Education Curriculum Strategy. This strategy integrates core processes into higher education, contributing research, innovation, and training results that address current environmental and health problems in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality of Havana province.

Objective: To reveal the potential of the environmental curriculum strategy of the "Manuel Fajardo" Faculty of Medical Sciences for developing actions aimed at fulfilling the Life Task (Tarea Vida).

Methods: An exhaustive literature search was conducted in scientific databases such as PubMed, SciELO, and Google Scholar, as well as in institutional literature, in both Spanish and English, resulting in a total of 22 documents reviewed. The sources consulted included both national and international publications.

Conclusions: The effective and systematic implementation of actions based on the Life Task strengthens the environmental awareness of the university community of the "Manuel Fajardo" Faculty of Medical Sciences and recognizes the intrinsic relationship between the environment and health.
