Abstract

Appointment management in physiotherapy clinics represents a challenge when it relies on traditional methods such as phone calls and WhatsApp, leading to disorganization and an inefficient experience for patients and professionals. This study aimed to develop a web application that optimizes and modernizes appointment scheduling at the "Achilie Physiotherapist" clinic in Santo Domingo. A mixed methodology was used, combining bibliographic and field research, along with the development of the application using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern, jQuery for Ajax functions, FullCalendar for visual appointment management, and the implementation of a chatbot for automated assistance. The results show a significant improvement in appointment administration, a reduction in no-shows, and greater patient satisfaction by providing an accessible and efficient platform. Additionally, the integration of a control panel allows the owner to obtain key data for decision-making. In conclusion, the developed application transforms the clinic's appointment management, providing an effective digital solution that enhances service operability and user experience. Future improvements are recommended through artificial intelligence to personalize patient interaction and the incorporation of additional functions such as teleconsultation and treatment follow-up.
