Abstract

Health Education (EpS) is a continuous process that educates individuals about health as a state of overall well-being, encompassing physical, mental, and social aspects. It emphasizes the interaction between the individual and their environment, as well as the influence of social, economic, and cultural factors. EpS is essential for health promotion and prevention, fostering attitudes and behaviors that improve quality of life. Well-being is achieved through the active participation of individuals in their social and political environment, empowering communities to enhance their living conditions. Transversal education integrates various disciplines, facilitating a comprehensive training that addresses social, environmental, and health aspects. It is crucial to prepare educators to implement pedagogical strategies that promote EpS, ensuring the collaboration of all educational agents. Health, as an inalienable right, requires a multidisciplinary and multisectoral approach that fosters collective well-being and the capacity of individuals to act in favor of their health and that of their community.
