Abstract

Background: Menstrual disorders in the adolescent population constitute an important issue in the health of young women, with a high prevalence and a significant impact on their quality of life.

Objective: To analyze the complexity and diversity of the underlying factors that influence the appearance and severity of menstrual disorders in adolescents and to propose actions for the preparation and teaching of adolescents in Ambato.

Method: Using the Entropy method, the actions that contribute to preventing and training adolescents from Ambato about menstrual disorders were evaluated.

Results: The results revealed that menstrual disorders in adolescents are highly complex and varied, with a significant interaction between multiple factors. The need for comprehensive health education for adolescents from Ambato was highlighted under a personalized approach in the care of these menstrual disorders.
